Pull Tabs

How do they work? Are they like a low stakes lottery ticket? How come there are pull tab stores? Do people have to pull the tabs in the presence of the seller? Can they be taken home? What is the limit for a pull tab jackpot? We've lived here for 12 years now, and have never done pull tabs. Maybe we'll start, if we know a little more about them.

Heres the low down on Tabs

First and formost, Pull Tabs as well as bingo and raffle in the state of Alaska is defined as charitable gaming. Only non profit orgnizations can profit from charitable gaming. Not a personal business, corporation or a LLC. Unless a individual holds a operators licence. This licence enables individuals to run business on behalf of a non priofit orgnization. Essentially a contractor. In this case the non profit orgnization gets 30% of the adjusted gross on the revenue for pull tabs. All in all odds are not too bad. Each pulltab game/series in the State Of Alaska has a definate profit, usually displayed on the back of the card that is displayed at the pull tab venu showing the winning amounts. The max prise to be given away on any one single tab is $500.00. But the store next to Quiznos on the Old Steese has a game with the possibility of $1000 winner. That is a tab with five windows, each window costing $1.00, so essentially a $5.00 tab. You could have two $500 winners on a paticular strip in this case. But all in all it is a good deal for the non profit orgnizations. Helps them be more self sustainable and each non profit no matter pull tabs or not is essential to our Fairbanks community. Alot of money from pull tabs gets put into our community from pull tab revenues from the non profits and many of them support things we as Fairbanksans enjoy.

They are Lame.

They are a complete waste of money. You could save your money and buy something more beneficial, like a new dvd, if you wanted too, jeans maybe, i dont know. But what i am tying to say is that you will loose more money than you will win.
